Let's talk about content pillars!
Have you been stuck trying to create valuable content, but you just aren't sure where to start? My advice: make sure you have strong content pillars!
Content pillars are a great way to add value to your posts, and they're an important part of your social media strategy.
What are content pillars?
Themes or categories you focus on when creating content.
How to use content pillars?
There are two different ways you can look at content pillars:
1. If you have different services or offers, these can be your content pillars. This would be an example of using categories as your content pillars.
Example: You have a bakery that sells ready to go baked goods, cakes, and coffee. These three things would be your content pillars and you would create content from there.
2. Choose topics. Think about the value you want to provide. Content pillars may look like: Informational, Promotional, Relatable.
Example: You are a realtor using social media to find new clients. You may choose: educational, promotional, and community as your topics.
You will use these topics to show you are knowledgeable, give social proof, and create a connection with your audience/show them the personal side of you.
When you're coming up with content pillars, it's important to think about what kind of content will be useful or interesting for people.
